Why Facebook sue Apple?

You might have heard the news of Apple v/s Facebook.

Basically, there is a conflict going between them regarding the iOS 14.5 update.

But why does Facebook cares about Apple’s software updates?

Here things start to get a little interesting.

Apple wants its user to have more control over its data and, Facebook wants the data to help small businesses. (That’s what they said).

Facebook earns most of its revenue through ads. If Apple gives its user the choice to control their data. Then it will be hard for Facebook to show personalized ads.
On the other hand, Apple will benefit from this update because Apple is known for its privacy. This update will take their privacy to the next level.

Tim Cook said that it is a vision of the company where Mark Zuckerberg said that Facebook wants to help the small business.

Both companies are looking towards their own profit but, Apple has an advantage in this conflict. Everyone knows about Facebook’s Cambridge Analytica incident and its reputation regarding data security.

But this is starting only, who knows what will happen in the future.

I personally always favor user privacy and never like Facebook’s policies.
